En BWAD somos (como dice la publicidad de cierta cadena de TV) "serial lovers" y creemos que el otoño es un buen momento para engancharse a nuevas (o viejas) series. Aquí van algunas propuestas que prometen. Vendrán más.
THE NEWSROOM
A favorite with viewers, news anchor Will McAvoy has found a safe niche with bankable ratings on his 8:00 p.m. flagship cable show, News Night. Numbed by success, McAvoy has become stoic, complacent, cynical content not to rock the boat as he delivers the nightly news straight down the middle of the road dialing it in as he avoids ruffling feathers with anything resembling politics. What fire he still has, he reserves for the cutting sarcasm and general unpleasantness that earn him no fans with his news team.
In a literal blink of an eye or perhaps an optical illusion McAvoy is catapulted from apathy to engagement when a spontaneous outburst leads him to tackle the principles of American patriotism in a public forum. Surviving the professional fallout from his unexpected tirade following an enforced vacation, McAvoy returns to work to discover that most of his staff has jumped ship for another show and is forced to work with several new team members brought on board during his absence. GIRLS
The assorted humiliations, disasters and rare triumphs of four very different twenty-something girls: Hannah, an aspiring writer; Marnie, an art gallery assistant and cousins Jessa and Shoshanna. Hannah gets a shock when her parents visit from Michigan and announce they will no longer financially support her as they have done since her college graduation two years prior. Left to her own devices in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, she and her friends navigate their twenties, "one mistake at a time."Created by and starring Lena Dunham, Girls is a "dramedy" that follows a close group of twenty-somethings as they chart their lives in New York City. The show's premise and major aspects of the main character were inspired by some of 26-year-old Dunham's real-life experiences.

But we're hopeful someone will come and light the way."Revolution takes place in a post-apocalyptic dystopian future. Fifteen years earlier, an unknown phenomenon disabled all technology dependent on electricity on the planet, ranging from computers and electronics to car engines, jet engines, and batteries. People were forced to adapt to a world without functioning technology. Due to the collapse of government and public order, many areas are ruled by warlords and militias. The series focuses on the Matheson family, who possess a special device (resembling a flash drive) that is the key to not only finding out what happened fifteen years ago, but also a possible way to reverse its effects. However, they must elude Sebastian Monroe the General and President of the Monroe Militia who wants to possess that power for himself.
